The Maine Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) engaged PDI to conduct public participation meetings in twenty communities in Maine. The meetings involved several hour agendas on three evenings at each site. Nearly 1,000 Maine business people, educators, municipal officials, and citizens attended. These meetings formed the basis for community and economic development strategies later developed in many regions in Maine.
