Main Street & Downtown Revitalization
How can encourage more pedestrian traffic in our downtown? How can we encourage private investment? What can we do to get more use from second and third floor space? What traffic management techniques will work best for our village center?
PDI has worked with architects, designers, landscape architects, city planners, retail developers and Main Street advocates to answer these and similar questions. We assess the opportunities and then help citizens articulate a development strategy. We have done survey research on shopping patterns and preferences and statistical analysis of retail spending data to identify the best types of investment for a city or town to seek and the best ways to attract and locate it.
